Students at New Jersey’s Hawthorne High School have set a new Guinness World Record for the most people popping bubble wrap at one time.

The Star-Ledger reports the school teamed up with bubble wrap maker Sealed Air Corporation to set the new record.

366 people popped more than 8,000 square feet of bubble-wrap for two minutes  The event raised funds for Sandy Hook Elementary School.

Bubble wrap was invented in a garage in Hawthorne, New Jersey, in 1957 by two engineers, Marc Chavannes and Al Fielding who went on to start the Sealed Air Corporation which now has annual revenues that exceed three billion dollars.
