STEVE ANDREWS
If you grew up in Sussex County, you probably grew up listening to this guy tell you if school was closed for snow! Well, Steve Andrews continues that tradition for a whole new generation of school kids AND thousands of commuters every day. Steve’s stories of family and growing up “down below” in Hudson County has been a perfect fit for WSUS listeners for years…and will be for years to come. CLICK HERE to read more about Steve!

Partnership for Social Services
You may have heard that Maria, Vince and I have "adopted" local charities and/or causes for the entire year. Throughout 2006 I will be telling you all about the Partnership for Social Services.

The Family Center on Wyker Road in Franklin provides services that address the needs of individuals, families and groups in our community, especially the poor, to advocate for justice and convene others to do the same. There are stress reduction seminars for mothers, a self enhancement group meets every Tuesday at 7:30 and a support group to deal with the grief of divorce and separation every Wednesday evening at 7:30. The Partnership also operates a food pantry to help needy families and individuals all year round. Food donations are always welcome. Visit Sr. Thomasina's second choice shop every Wednesday and Saturday from 9am to 2 pm for quality clothing and household items at excellent prices!

For more details, visit the Partnership's website.

Hi everyone.  Hope you are enjoying "Funky" George Fuller while I am on vacation.

I'll be in New York City for a couple of days.  Then another day at Land of Make

Believe.  The rest of the week I will be taking my 3 sons to Cooperstown to see the

Baseball Hall of Fame. I haven't been there since I covered the induction of Duke

Snyder back in 1980.  All three of my sons love baseball and we should have gone

sooner but we never got the chance.  Now we're gonna do it while we can. In the

meantime keep praying for Vince and I'll be back this Monday!
