Last Saturday, I was at Memory Park in Newton, NJ just to relax and catch some sun before I went on the air later that afternoon. Of course, I liberally put on the suntanning lotion of SPF 4 as I knew I was only going to be out there for a few hours. There's something to be said about recreational parks and community...it's very peaceful and friendly. As much as I love to worship the sun while on the beach, at the community parks there's no overcrowding and no sand to blow into your face. I do miss the beach though as it's been over 10 years since I got close to the Atlantic Ocean on any typical summer day, which I hope to do this year.
Often times, I will scan and surf the channels on my cable TV. One show that has caught my eye lately is Bridezillas on the WE Network. It's hilarious as angry brides-to-be go through their worst nightmare and anything that can go wrong in planning a wedding to the actual big day actually winds up with funny disastrous results. One of the next 3 episodes features the Jim & Darren Duo (Jim Munson and Darren Stec), members of a great Connecticut cover band called Out Of Touch. The 3 part arc of Bridezillas begins tonight 6/29 at 9 p.m., the second episode airs 7/6 at 9 p.m. and the third one airs 7/13 at 9 p.m. on the WE Network.
