Still deep into summer, it's no big secret based on my past stories on this blog that I absolutely live for the summer time.  So much to do in a short span of a few months...and all can be done here in Sussex County!  Waterparks, minor league baseball games, the NJ State Fair...sometimes I wish we were based near the Equator where summer exists year round! But I digress...

Of course, if it's summer, it must mean my head is deep into baseball as I continue to cheer on the 2008 World Champion Philadelphia Phillies (yep, there I go again).  Last year, I made a bold prediction that they would go all the way to the World Series...I'm here to say that they can do it again.  Some are throwing around that "dynasty" word...repeat, three-peat world champs again.  Who knows?  But one thing's for sure...as much as they've struggled this year, the Phillies still have an excellent shot at repeating.  New York Mets fans obviously hate my guts for saying this, ha ha!

At last, it's starting to feel more like summer...all this cool air we've had over the past month shoots down any theory about "global warming".  I certainly don't buy into it at all, otherwise it would be around 120 degrees outside right now!

Next Sunday the 9th marks a milestone in my radio life...I celebrate 20 years of being in this crazy business. I can remember it like it was yesterday and my first gig that I was hired to do was at a small radio station in Cape May County, NJ.  I was such a young kid back then, I agreed to whatever terms they gave me...minimum wage! Ha ha!  After everything I've been through in the wonderful world of radio, I still love doing it today.

In closing, with all the milestones in my life this year such as my 25th year high school reunion, 20 years in the radio biz...another milestone hits me tomorrow the 4th--something about needing a fire extinguisher to put out the 43 candles on a cake. Hope it's ice cream cake!
