Ah, Christmas…besides the presents, the one thing people think about during this time of the year is the music.  Of course, we play lots of great Christmas music on 102.3 WSUS to get you in the festive mood.  Some of my earliest Christmas memories date back to my days as a toddler in Philadelphia.  My mom and dad would constantly play two records that would get you excited around the tree.  One of those albums was from Bing Crosby simply titled “Merry Christmas” and the other one was from Frank Sinatra called “A Jolly Christmas”.  These are undoubtedly both of the crooners’ greatest holiday classics that can still hold up to today’s contemporary artists renditions of Christmas songs.  As I got older, those albums got a bit scratchy and dusty, yet in the midst of all that pop and crackle coming from the record needle, the music still brought a smile to my face as I witnessed the bottom of the Christmas tree filling up with presents.  Today, that tradition still continues, though the old records have since been replaced with CD versions and the music still sounds as fresh and timeless today.
