Summer's long gone and the fall has hit its peak. Gone is the beach, the swimming pools, longer days, camping and long road trips with the family to some far distant location.
The remainder of the fall season includes football games, whether on the high school, collegiate or professional level. Autumn also still has Thanksgiving and most of the Christmas holiday shopping season to look forward to. Personally, I find myself getting some of those gifts early for my family so that I can actually enjoy the rest of the fall without the stresses of running to the mall as it gets closer to the Christmas holiday. Last year, I was under the last minute gun that I ended up giving gift cards to everyone in my family. And wouldn't you know it...they all went on a big shopping spree the day after Christmas! Even my mother, who got a gift card to see movies at her local theater, ended up using all of its value within a matter of weeks!
And as fall moves into winter, Christmas and the New Year of 2009 loom over the horizon. And then, ski and snowtubing season gets underway, depending on how cold it really gets. Remember how warm it was a couple of winters ago? That most certainly squashed a lot of my snowtubing actvities. Hopefully, this will be a good season for all you snow fanatics.
My, how time flies when you're having fun!
