The Philadelphia Phillies are the 2008 World Series champions! I'm very happy and elated for them and the fact that they were able to achieve the pinnacle of success in the MLB. I always stayed faithful and true to them that they would bring home a World Championship and that they did. Back on August 4th (ironically, it was my birthday), I made a bold prediction on this blog that the Phillies had a very good shot at getting to the World Series. They had far exceeded my expectations and I hope they will be able to repeat next year. I've also attached a couple of photos from yours truly from this past Friday's victory parade in Philadelphia. One of me is actually waiting on a train to Philly very early in the morning and the other photo is one where I stood in the middle of Broad Street, raising my arms in victory just one block away from City Hall, where the statue of William Penn stands. Way to go Phillies!

Don't forget to vote on Tuesday November 4th...Election Day is upon us and we should know who our next President of the United States will be by the end of the day.
Be sure to tune in on Saturday from 3 p.m.. to 7 p.m. on 102.3 WSUS and online at www.wsus1023.com. Not only do I play some great music, but in keeping in touch with our local community, I provide the updated SCIL high school football scores. Hopefully, your team is doing well this season!
