As I write this, the Philadelphia Phillies are in the middle of a suspended 2-2 tie with the Tampa Bay Rays in Game 5 of the World Series.  I can't begin to tell you how nerve wracking this is for this Phillies fan!  Regardless on whether the game should have been stopped sooner rather than later, I'm glad MLB Commissioner Bud Selig made the call to suspend the game and continue it when the conditions on the field are favorable in Philadelphia.  I didn't want the game and the entire series ended early giving the Phillies the default win as a result of inclement weather.  Having an asterisk next to your team's name in the history books is not how I want the Phillies to be remembered...let them play the entire 9 innings and more if necessary.  I want a winner in this crazy series!
Speaking of this past Monday's World Series, Daryl Hall was supposed to sing the National Anthem, however, he was too ill to perform, so his longtime musical partner John Oates stepped up to the plate and sang his heart out!  Kudos to John Oates on making it there to Philadelphia on such short notice and performing brilliantly to the crowd and national TV audience.
