Some time ago, I visited my mother and we were going through some old videos of family events and other classic footage that only memories could previously preserve.  Watching footage of yours truly from a generation or two ago is one of the guiltiest pleasures that one could experience.  15 years ago, my mother had all the Super 8 silent movies transferred to videotape so as to preserve those images and prevent them from "melting" under the hot bulb in that old movie projector.  Today, old videotapes are now transferred onto DVD because even old tapes can get worn out and fade over time.  Thankfully, my family's documented video history were put onto DVD so that future generations could see some of those classic memories.  If you haven't gotten the chance to transfer footage from your old videotapes to DVD, I urge you to do so before it's too late.  You can even purchase a DVD recorder/VCR player combo unit at a local electronics or general store at a very inexpensive price.  Believe me, it's worth the investment.
Switching gears, I told you that the Philadelphia Phillies were going to the World Series!  My Phillies fever has reached an all time high, so you'll have to forgive me for the constant references to what I believe is this year's best team in Major League Baseball and hopefully will defeat the Tampa Bay Rays and become World Series Champions.
Go Phillies!
