So what do I have to say for myself? Well, I recently celebrated 10 years of working in the wonderful world of radio here in Sussex County; 3 1/2 of those years here at 102.3 WSUS. How did I celebrate that milestone? I had myself a bag of chips!
Seriously, I feel very fortunate to work here in Sussex County; my belief in it being strengthened by recently attending the 5th Annual Newton Day festivites right on Spring Street. People there are so nice and obviously very proud of living in Newton. I also ran into a few friends who I hadn't seen in quite a while, which was a pleasant surprise. The food out there was simply delicious and you can smell the flavors up and down the street through the many vendors that were out there.
I make no secret about it...I am a big Phil Collins fan. I had the pleasure of seeing the band Genesis at Giants Stadium last year and it was a fabulous show. I went to the store this past weekend and picked up their latest DVD titled "When In Rome 2007". It's a triple DVD set which contains the entire show from their concert in Rome, Italy plus a few extras and backstage footage all for only $19.99. Wow, what a bargain! I will be spending the entire week watching this DVD as I know I'm not going to be able to watch it all in one given night...I might be able to watch the entire concert, but the extra footage will probably have to wait until later this week. Of course, I knew where to get this DVD for the low $19.99 price, thanks to the official Genesis website www.genesis-music.com, which directed me to the store that was selling the DVD set.
Summer is just about in full swing mode, which is undoubtedly my favorite time of the year. Hope you're enjoying yours as well. I'll be in Las Vegas all week long, but should be back in time for my show on Saturday the 21st.
