As I move into a new week and seven days without power - yes I'm tired of living out of suit case and I really want my house and life back to normal. BUT yesterday I spent the day on Staten Island with my boyfriend, cousin and her husband helping my sister who was devasted by Sandy - she lives in South Beach. All the beach communities in Staten Island have been destroyed. People died - homes were literally taken into the ocean - just like South Jersey. It's is a horrible site to see. After taking everything she owned out of the bottom part of the house - furntiure, washer dryer, family things that cannot be replaced (our childhood pictures) it made me cry and I cried for everyone, not only my sister. Midland Beach was the worse area on Staten Island - destroyed for miles. I'm sharing some pictures with you so we can count our blessings ......
