Several months ago 36 year old Samantha Campione had surgery to remove a brain tumor while singing Taylor Swift songs. She was conscious during the entire procedure at Hackensack Meridian Health's Jersey Shore University Medical Center. The tumor was not malignant and the surgery was successful. Campione is a teacher who lives in Stanhope. Her doctor asked her to sing during the surgery so he could "monitor her speech, cadence and rhythm without interruptions and pauses that happen during a conversation." Samantha and her two daughters are huge Taylor Swift fans. So she knew exactly what songs she would be singing. I wonder if Taylor Swift has heard about this?
