I'm Learning How To Ski At Mountain Creek!

This is definitely a weekend I'll never forget. My second Facebook Live video at Mountain Creek where I'm trying to learn skiing. Folks look at me like I have 4 heads when they learn that I have never tried skiing before moving here to Jersey. I've had fun watching skiers and snowboarders from my deck for ten years, now I want to be out there with them. My instructor at Mountain Creek is Jay Anderson, and he's fantastic. I highly recommend him. He has a great sense of humor and is very patient with me. Shout out to Jay for helping me get up after I fell right off of the chairlift. Talk about an embarrassing adventure, between that and falling into one of the safety nets. Overall once I started moving I usually did okay though. It was fun being out there!

When I first got there it was definitely cold outside and snowing. The wind also made things more interesting. I was able to do a couple quick runs with Jay at the Terrain Based Learning Center where I was last week. We were then able to graduate me to the Sugar Slope. My second time ever being on a chairlift was quite the experience too! Once I started skiing my body definitely started to warm right up pretty quickly. I am now really starting to understand how my friends who love skiing and snowboarding enjoy winters a little bit. I had a wonderful time at Mountain Creek learning how to ski. I did okay getting the rental equipment too, showing great progress from last week. I was very proud being able to get the rental equipment myself and then meet up with instructor Jay.

Learning to ski was exciting, exhilarating, and at times SCARY! It was definitely fun, that's for sure! I only embarrassed myself a couple of times, but it was still a great time being out there on the Mountain.

I can't wait, hopefully this Friday I'm back out there at Mountain Creek. We might have me try "The Cab." Usually for me "the cab," typically means cabernet wine. Something tells me I'm in for quite the experience this week.

Saturday I was recovering from skiing and all that fun. Sunday I was able to watch NFL Playoff football with some besties. It is a relaxing day when our football teams aren't in the playoffs. Watching NFL Playoff football is much less stressful when you don't have a vested interest in the games.

Overall I had an action packed Epic Weekend In Pictures. Here we go getting ready for my next attempt learning to ski!
