New Jersey’s senior citizens and disabled individuals have just one more day to apply for the state’s property tax reimbursement program, known as the Senior Freeze. This program offers reimbursements for property tax increases on their primary residences.

The Senior Freeze program is not just limited to traditional homeowners. It also extends its benefits to eligible applicants who pay mobile home park site fees. This inclusion ensures that a wider range of New Jersey’s senior population can benefit from the program.

Earlier this year, Governor Murphy signed legislation that will expand the income limit and residency requirements for the program starting next year. This expansion aims to make the program more accessible and beneficial to a larger number of New Jersey’s seniors and disabled individuals.

The NJ Treasury will be accepting applications for the Senior Freeze program thru Tuesday, October 31st for the 2022 tax year.
