Showboat Atlantic City is set to expand its recreational offerings this week with the inauguration of a brand-new, indoor pickleball court this Thursday. The courts will be open to the public and hotel guests starting at 11 a.m., according to the Press of Atlantic City.

As the popularity of pickleball continues to surge, the demand for individual or couples court time has seen a corresponding increase. Showboat Atlantic City’s new courts are expected to cater to this growing demand, providing enthusiasts with a dedicated space to enjoy the sport. More than 70 percent of pickleball players are aged between 18 and 44, however, players aged 55 and up represented the largest group of players, accounting for some 19.8% in 2021.

Officials have expressed optimism about the new addition, anticipating that it will be well-received by both hotel guests and the public. The opening of these courts marks an exciting new chapter for Showboat Atlantic City and for pickleball enthusiasts in the region.
