My Ice Dodging Epic Weekend In Pictures

This wasn't the most Epic Of Weekend In Pictures, but I still enjoyed memorable laughs with friends. Friday was definitely Epic because of all the ice we got here in northern New Jersey with that storm. At one point 102.3 WSUS got knocked off the air for 10 minutes. Not a fun Friday for me behind the scenes.

Friday night I swung by The Cottage in Franklin and hung out with several wonderful friends. I enjoyed several laughs while rocking my Timberland work boots. 3-4 years ago, despite being so careful, walking like a penguin, I fell on black ice and fractured my wrist. Ironically I was trying to prevent my sister and ex-fiance from falling, and I ended up falling. Ever since that painful winter, I've been really nervous with ice. Like I said on my radio show, unless you're in the business of selling rock salt, ice is a friend to nobody.

I made it a point to not stay out too late, trying to minimize my risk of walking on black ice. I'm always paranoid of it because even though I was so careful those years ago, it still happened injuring myself. Black ice is not my friend.

Saturday with the temperature not even reaching 30 degrees, I made the executive decision to just stay inside. Boring yes, but also safe. It felt weird not even leaving my place and going outside at all. I'm hoping this weekend it will be warm enough to watch skiers from my deck. It's one of my many favorite parts about living here, enjoying life on the ski slope. Well, usually watching others on the ski slope at Mountain Creek, lol.

Sunday I woke up watching Tom Brady New England Patriots Super Bowl replays. There were so many instances where I remembered exactly where I was during some of those replays. I then dropped off my laundry for wash and fold at 94 Laundromat. They are terrific! For laundry, I always wash my towels at my place. One minor drawback to living where we do on Campus in the condos at Great Gorge Village, our washer and dryers are rather small. That's why I'll often do a towel load on a Sunday afternoon, and take the rest of my clothes out for wash and fold. The price is right!

I was hungry, craving a juicy filet mignon steak. After some errands, I swung by Mohawk House in Sparta. I haven't been there in far too long. I ordered my filet mignon medium rare and they nailed it. The peppercorn dipping sauce had a little kick to it and helped clear out my sinuses too. Success! Redder is better.

Basically, whenever I watched television throughout the weekend, my favorite things to watch were things that happened years ago. Friends and Seinfeld reruns had me cracking up laughing out loud all weekend. Between Friends with the Ross and Pivot episode, Seinfeld where George had shrinkage from the cold pool, I was cracking up all throughout the weekend. It was like chicken soup for the soul on my quiet weekend.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read my Epic Weekend In Pictures. Time to start planning next weekend. I'll try to be more active, that's for sure.
