New Jersey has a plan to distribute Covid-19 vaccines

Currently, 4 companies are in late stage trials for a Covid-19 vaccine in the United States. While some politicians have tried to dash any hopes that a vaccine is just around the corner. There has been a plan all along. The reality is there could very well be a vaccine or vaccines approved sooner rather than later. With this in mind, New Jersey's Department of Health released a plan to distribute the vaccine or vaccines to state residents yesterday. As you would expect those people who are most at risk would get the vaccine first. That includes health care workers, long term care workers, dentists, home health care providers and mortuary workers. Next in priority would be people over 65, those with under lying health conditions and people who live in group settings. That group includes those living in mental health facilities and prisons. Then essential workers who can't socially distance would be next. Which would include certain health care workers, law enforcement, food distribution workers and teachers. New Jersey hopes to vaccinate up to 81,000 people a day. So far there is no mandatory requirement to get vaccinated. President Trump has stated there is a plan for the U.S. Military to assist with vaccine distribution nationwide.
