Frontier League and Major League Baseball announce partnrship

When the Sussex County Miners became a part of the much larger Frontier League local baseball fans had a lot to look forward to. Then the Frontier League had to cancel its season because of Covid-19. Yesterday the Frontier League announced a new partnership with Major League Baseball. The partnership will allow the Frontier League to work with Major League Baseball to promote professional baseball in the United States and Canada. The Frontier League will remain an independent league and none of its teams with be affiliated with a Major League Team. The Atlantic League and American Association announced similar partnerships with Major League Baseball this week. Al Durso owners of the Sussex County Miners and New Jersey Jacals believes this partnership will help teams acquire new talent. The agreement does not include any financial support.
