Coronavirus Update: N.J. N.Y. Pa. April 8 2020

New Jersey reported the highest single day death toll from Coronavirus yesterday. Statewide deaths have reached over 1,200 and 44,000 have tested positive. Sussex County cases rose to 331 with 15 deaths. Yesterday Governor Murphy closed all state parks, county parks and state forests. Sussex County Freeholder Dawn Fantasia called on all Sussex County residents to oppose closing the parks by signing the on line petition: "Reopen New Jersey State Parks" on he website gopetition.com In New York there was good news and bad news. Governor Cuomo reported 731 new deaths but went on to say new hospitalizations are declining. Orange County now has over 3,800 cases and 93 people have died. In Pennsylvania, Governor Wolfe said over 1,500 new cases were confirmed on Monday and Tuesday. Pike County has 119 residents who have the virus. None of the 3 state have provided any information about the number of people who have recovered from Covid-19.
