High Point B.O.E. is considering having a Montague liaison

The High Point Board of Education is hoping to ease tensions with the Montague Board of Education. Montague has been trying to end it's sending agreement with High Point High School. Seriously considering sending 9th through 12th graders in Montague to Port Jervis High School instead. This morning's New Jersey Herald is reporting "the High Point Board is currently discussing offering a board liaison position to Montague in an effort to demonstrate it's commitment to Montague." State law would mandate a voting seat on the High Point Board of Education if Montague students accounted for 10 percent of the high school's enrollment. For the current school year, Montage is 4 students short of 10 percent. Whether the proposed Montague/High Point liaison would be able to vote is still being discussed.
