There's a new "Super Tick" that is killing cows

We've known Asian Long Horned Ticks were in the United States since 2017 when they were discovered on sheep at a farm in Hunterdon County. Scientists attempts to develop pesticides to kill these new ticks have not been 100 percent effective. Over the past few years they've also been discovered in 10 more states including New York and Pennsylvania. Recently the ticks were blamed for the deaths of 5 cows in North Carolina. I'm not trying to scare you but these ticks are very scary. They've been nick named "Clone" ticks because females can produce a massive amount of offspring without mating. According to the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy these ticks have already reduced dairy production in Australia by 25 percent.
