Are teachers paid enough has been a question asked for many decades. The New Jersey Department Of Education has released a comprehensive guide showing median teacher salaries for every district. Regardless of their salary, we appreciate the positive impact they have made on our lives. I have met so many teachers who have wanted to do this for their whole lives, who thrive on helping others. Many teachers tell me their favorite part of teaching is when their students get that "light bulb moment." When analyzing salaries, it's also probably important to factor in our Jersey high cost of living. I'll also remember that while some teachers are higher than these median numbers, some are will be quite less too.
